Corduroy fabrics are known from the 70s and are celebrating their revival today. The soft fabric is being used more and more in modern furniture. The characteristic features of corduroy are its longitudinal ribs and the warm, cosy feel of the material. Corduroy is now also made from easy-care synthetic fabrics, making the material more durable than the original cotton corduroy. This means that corduroy can also be used for heavy-duty furniture and the catering industry.
Our RABAL corduroy collection is also treated to be water-repellent and stain-resistant. This means that stains and dirt only remain on the surface of the material and do not penetrate deep into the fibres of the upholstery material. Stains can therefore be easily removed with water and, if necessary, by hand.
