Werzalit table tops are pressed from finely chipped wood and high-quality resins under high pressure in a special manufacturing process. These table tops are robust, UV, weather and heat resistant.
When heated on one side, a physical effect can cause a temporary deformation of the table tops.
This deformation is concave (bends downwards) and depends on the surface decor. If the one-sided heating decreases, the deformation also decreases again
. To counteract this deformation, the table tops are produced slightly
convex at the factory as a precaution. Werzalit worktops will therefore never be completely flat.
